Edinburgh Fringe Festival shows are on sale and there’s no shortage of Aussie comedy in 2014.
Some of the Festival favourites heading to this year’s Fringe include Dave Hughes, Sam Simmons, Hannah Gadsby, the Axis of Awesome, Justin Hamilton, Cal Wilson, Rhys Nicholson, and Sammy J as well as the 2014 Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Piece of Wood Award winner, Sarah Kendall, and 2014 Barry Award nominee Celia Pacquola.
Edinburgh Fringe-goers will also be lucky enough to see some rising southern stars off the back of their hot-selling Australian festival seasons. Amongst the ranks are Luke McGregor (2013 Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer Award winner), Steen Raskopoulos, John Conway and Demi Lardner.
Some Aussies are even putting on more than one show. David Collins appears in both his kid’s show, The Luck Child, and with Shane Dundas as the Umbilical Brothers in KiDSHoW (not for kids). By day, the multitalented Ali McGregor will be all about the kids in Ali McGregor’s Jazzamatazz, but by night, she’ll double as a cabaret legend for the grownups in Ali McGregor’s Late Nite Variety Nite Night.
